Cookie policy
MyClipCloud uses a few strictly necessary cookies and nothing else.
We do not use advertising, analytics or third-party tracking cookies, so no cookie banner is needed for optional cookies. The cookies below are required for the site to work securely.
| Cookie | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
mcc_sid | Keeps you signed in and protects forms against cross-site request forgery. Set when you sign in, use a form or use Nearby — not when you only read pages. | Up to 30 days |
mcc_signed_in | Set when you sign in so pages can show "Open your clipboard" instead of "Sign in". Contains only 1, gives no access to anything and is removed when you sign out. | Up to 30 days |
mcc_guest | Set only if you use Nearby without an account: a random identifier so the devices you connected to recognise this browser. Not a fingerprint and not shared with anyone. | 24 hours |
mcc_device | A random identifier for this browser so it appears once in your device list. Set only when you sign in. Not a fingerprint and not shared with anyone. | Up to 400 days, or until you clear cookies |
These cookies are shared between myclipcloud.com and mynotes.myclipcloud.com (MyNotes), so one sign-in works on both. They are never sent to any other site.
The app also stores a small amount of non-sensitive state in your browser's local storage (such as the last sync position) so it can catch up quickly. No clipboard content is kept there.
Our speed and traffic statistics use no cookies: a random code kept in the tab's session storage (mcc.sid, deleted when the tab closes) only groups the pages of one visit. See Speed and traffic statistics.
You can delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; you will be signed out.
