Browser extension
Clipboard sync with no tab open
The free MyClipCloud extension for Chrome keeps your computer's clipboard in sync while the browser is running — no MyClipCloud tab needed.
Get MyClipCloud for Chrome
Free, from the Chrome Web Store. Works with your MyClipCloud account.
- Open the MyClipCloud page in the Chrome Web Store and click Add to Chrome.
- Click the MyClipCloud icon in the toolbar, then Connect, and sign in if asked.
- Copy anywhere on the computer: it is synced to your account. Text from your other devices lands on this clipboard by itself.
The MyClipCloud extension is a free add-on from the Chrome Web Store. After you connect it to your account, text and images you copy anywhere on that computer are sent to your MyClipCloud clipboard, and text copied on your other devices is put on this computer's clipboard automatically — even with no MyClipCloud tab open.
What you get
- Works in the background. Syncs while the browser is running, minimised or not, without a MyClipCloud tab.
- Both directions. Copies made in any app are sent to your account; text from your phone or other computers is placed on this clipboard automatically.
- Same privacy rules. Follows your Privacy & data setting: nothing is sent while sync is paused or off, and text that looks like a password, key, card number or one-time code is never sent.
- Only talks to MyClipCloud. It connects to myclipcloud.com and nothing else, and never reads your tabs or browsing history.
Good to know
- For Chrome on a computer. Microsoft Edge can install it from the Chrome Web Store too; there is no version for Safari, Firefox or phones.
- Needs a free MyClipCloud account. It appears under Devices, where you can remove it at any time; its access ends after 90 days unless you connect again.
- Photos from other devices show a notification instead of going straight onto the clipboard: browsers only let a focused page place images.
- Nothing syncs while the browser is fully closed.
